This is Alice, and this is her story.
Just one minute.
What’s one minute? Our lives are so fast that some of us forget to live. But just one minute of inner peace, one minute of silence, one minute to live can make all the difference.
As you feel the pressure on your chest, you are transported into a world of wonder and diversity, full of colors.
Vibrant coral reefs, schools of fish, and delicate sea fans sway gently in the current. Rays of light dance across the sandy bottom, creating a mesmerizing display of light and shadow.
All it takes is one minute.
Taking just one minute to connect with the underwater world can be a transformative experience, offering a moment of calm and reflection in a fast-paced world.
By taking a moment to appreciate the underwater world, we can also become more mindful of our impact on the environment, and work towards preserving it for future generations.
All it takes is one minute.

TECH disrupting the future
This article by Rest Of World follows cuban migrants attempting to cross the Florida Strait by sea using navigation apps and mobile internet access. Along the way they face numerous challenges including navigating makeshift rafts through shifting currents and choppy waters, as well as the imminent threat of shark attacks. These apps allow users to drop markers on maps to plan routes in advance, and they use OpenStreetMap. At least 100,000 balseros are believed to have died between 1959 and 1994, and while there is no official death toll for more recent attempts, the risks remain high.
